WHOIS AND DAS
End users are expected to have access to the contact details of a domain name holder. Our Whois module complies with the ICANN standards and offers optional flexibility:
Two access options :
1.Whois gives the full details of the domain name holder
2.Lightweight, high-speed DAS that only shows whether the domain name is available or not.
-
Whois data is fully configurable to meet the data protection requirements of your jurisdiction. Each field can be switched on or off .
-
Real-time whois updates, made possible by the Thick Registry Model
-
Whois can be accessed via both a web interface (CAPTCHA protected) or via port 43.
-
You can customize your web interface so that data is presented as an image rather than as text, thus making data mining harder.
-
Open registries may find other uses for their whois data to benefit both the registry and registrants, such as a searchable whois database to find registrants in a particular industry or area.
-
Profiles can be set up to determine which information is displayed. If, for example, you are an Open Brand, and you don’t want your licensee’s details to be visible for all competitors
-
Restricted whois service with blacklisting, compliant with RFC 3912
