DYNAMIC ZONE FILES
OpenRegistry Registry comes with a dynamic zone file update. That way, when a domain name is registered, it is available for use immediately.
NAME SERVER GROUPS
OpenRegistry can also create name server groups. A nameserver group contains a list of nameservers that can be linked to a domain name. This can be used instead of individual name servers on a domain name. When a one name server is replaced by another, nameserver groups deal with this in one update that is then propagated to all domain names linked to that group. When using individual name servers, all domain names using the old name servers need to be updated.
SRS REGISTRATION AND FLEXIBLE PERMISSION
SRS is short for Shared Registry System. Not only does the OpenRegistry Registry System offer ICANN required EPP access, but it also gives you the capability to register domain names via the web. We have also developed a module that allows for flexible permissions for all users. Why is this useful? You can give different permissions to different types of users for different sets of actions. You define what registrars or resellers can or cannot do. These permissions can be applied to different transactions in the system, so you are in total control of who does what in your TLD.

HIDDEN MASTER NAMESERVERS
Our master nameserver provides all slave servers with the current registration and database information but cannot be accessed from outside. This provides optimal security and integrity for the database.
VARIABLE RENEWAL PERIOD
By default, domain names are renewed every year. But you can also choose to have them renewed every semester, 4 months, or any other period you want.
LENGTH LIMITATIONS
You can define the length of your domain names. For example, do you want to allow two and three letter domain names ?
STRING BLOCKING
This feature allows you to block simple or complex ‘strings’ from being used in domain names. Examples include the name of your competitors, parts of that name, or foul language.
AUTOMATIC TRANSFER AND TRADE HANDLING
The OpenRegistry Registry System is capable of automatically handling all transfers and trades using a proven automated process of approval by the registrants. When a transfer is initiated, the current owner receives an e-mail asking him for approval. In case of a trade, the new owner also receives an e-mail. Only when all parties involved have electronically given their approval is the transfer or trade scheduled for automatic execution.
