• Mirror site is 'hot-standby ': contains a full copy of application data and their configuration
• Virtual machines run a software mirror RAID that is mapped to two external storage solutions

• SUN C2 tape library (8 slots)
• DLT tapes (400/800G tapes)
• formats used: cpion, tar.gz, XML 
•  native sql command list
